Last summer, the world’s longest hockey game raised more than $1.2 million for Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. This year, the event is hoping to beat that goal and will be supporting not only Roswell Park, but Make-A-Wish Western New York and Camp Good Days as well. We are so honored to be a part of this amazing local event to help raise funds for cancer research and wellness programs. Wishes help children heal, bring families closer together and unite communities - everything the 11 Day Power Play is about.
This year’s event has evolved to become the 11 Day Power Play Community Shift – a game open to all! This means, your team of 11-15 players, ages 11 and older, can sign up to play a shift in this summer’s game! Each team is asked to set a minimum fundraising goal of $5,000 per four-hour shift. Ten percent of the funds raised by the event will go towards granting wishes in our community.
The event will take place July 5-15 at the HarborCenter. Strap on your skates for some friendly competition, and help us grant wishes in Western New York!
