Special thanks to all of our event organizers and attendees from our summer events, who raised critical funds for wishes and crucial awareness of our life-changing mission. Take a look at some of the featured events from the Summer of 2019 below in the Buffalo region!
Bison Elevator Golf Tournament
Our charitable supporters from Bison Elevator Service, Inc. have been supporting Make-A-Wish for a number of years and, this year, hosted the inaugural Bison Elevator Golf Tournament to help support future wishes-come-true. With a sold-out tournament, Bison Elevator raised more than $19,000! Our deep thanks to Randy Pawlik, as well as Robby Pawlik, for being champions of our cause!
Mike Trzepacz Annual Motorcycle Run & Blessing
This 90-mile memorial run honors Mike Trzepacz, a Lake View volunteer firefighter and Red Knight, who died as a result of a motorcycle accident. 2019 marked the 10th and final year of the motorcycle run, known as the largest and safest run in WNY. We thank the Trzepacz family and all of Mike's loved ones, along with hundreds of riders, who participated for local causes - Make-A-Wish being one of them!
Parkdale Elementary School in East Aurora raised nearly $15,000 at the end-of-year carnival put on by the 4th grade class! Thank you to the students, their teachers and the community members, who have enthusiastically rallied for Make-A-Wish year after year.
The Western New York Parrot Head Club held their 14th Annual Chillin' In The Caribbean event to benefit Make-A-Wish. This year, they raised a total of $11,750! Thank you to the Parrot Head Club for their continued hard-work and support of our mission!
Cindy and Marisa Stani of Fit Happenz, LLC hosted their 6th
annual Zumbathon at Sports Performance Park. We had an amazing afternoon filling the room with positive energy for wishes, as hundreds of dancers came out to support. This year, the Zumbathon raised more than $12,000! Congrats to all who made it an outstanding success.
