Like many young girls her age, 5-year-old Lily
is mesmerized by princesses. Diagnosed with a brain tumor, she wanted nothing more than having her own Princess House – ideally in the form of a playhouse with a playset that she could call her own and declare her princess home. Thanks to Make-A-Wish®
Lily’s dream came true and she proudly reports that she decorated her Princess House with a table and a box full of toys so she can always play there. Lily, who loves to dress up as a princess, has already held princess parties with all of her friends in her new backyard location.
Make-A-Wish volunteers also came to visit, bringing cookies, drinks and princess curtains for the house as they joined in on the party. The family is so grateful for the outpouring of support from Make-A-Wish organization and the local support they have received as well.
For Lilly, at her young age, it was at first hard to comprehend how so many people, who didn’t even know her, could care so much about her. She loves all the attention and has already spoken in front of other Make-A-Wish families about her journey and the love and support she has been given.
The entire family agrees that Make-A-Wish brought a respite in the middle of a storm and is forever grateful.
